About Peak Race Nutrition

Peak Race Nutrition was created to provide evidence-based, individualised nutrition support for athletes involved in driving and motorcycle sports, as well as for individuals who pursue performance-oriented sport as a serious hobby.

The focus of the brand is not limited to short-term performance outcomes. Instead, the goal is to support consistent performance, cognitive function, recovery, long-term health, and quality of life, recognising that these elements are inseparable in both competitive and recreational sport.

Academic background and scientific foundation

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Science and a Master’s degree in Sports Nutrition, graduating first in my class from the University of Nicosia. I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Nicosia, with my doctoral research focused on sports that place high demands on cognitive function, reaction time, sensory processing, and fatigue resistance.

My academic work examines how neural efficiency, central nervous system fatigue, perceptual, cognitive load, and physiological stress interact to influence performance. These mechanisms are particularly relevant in sports where rapid decision-making, sustained concentration, and precise motor control are required under conditions of physical strain, heat exposure, and cumulative fatigue.

This scientific background forms the foundation of all coaching and educational material provided through Peak Race Nutrition.

Why driving and motorcycle sports

My interest in this field developed naturally through years of research into cognitive performance, fatigue tolerance, and neuromuscular control. As my work evolved, it became clear that driving and motorcycle sports represent a unique performance environment where nutrition directly influences focus, reaction time, hydration status, energy stability, and recovery, often more critically than in many traditional field or team sports.

These disciplines require athletes to maintain high-level cognitive performance while managing physical stress, postural demands, thermal strain, and limited opportunities for fueling or hydration. Recognising these unique demands led me to specialise in performance nutrition strategies tailored specifically to motorsport athletes, rather than applying generic athletic models.

Coaching philosophy

The coaching approach at Peak Race Nutrition is individualised, structured, and evidence-based. Nutrition plans are not templated and are not designed to chase short-term outcomes at the expense of long-term health.

While performance optimisation is a central objective, equal emphasis is placed on overall health, recovery capacity, body composition management, and sustainable habits. Improving performance without protecting health and quality of life is neither effective nor responsible.

For this reason, nutrition strategies are designed to support:

  • stable energy availability and cognitive consistency

  • recovery and adaptation across training and competition

  • body composition in a way that enhances, rather than compromises, performance

  • long-term wellbeing alongside athletic development

This approach applies equally to high-level competitors and individuals who engage in motorsport as a serious hobby. Performance nutrition should not be exclusive to professionals; it should be accessible, practical, and appropriate for the demands of each individual.

A long-term perspective

Peak Race Nutrition exists to bridge the gap between sports science research and real-world application. The aim is not to follow trends, promote extreme methods, or apply one-size-fits-all solutions, but to provide clear, scientifically grounded guidance that athletes can rely on over time.

Whether working with competitive drivers, motorcycle athletes, or motivated hobbyists, the objective remains the same: to support repeatable performance, informed decision-making, and long-term physical and cognitive resilience.
